Public Service Announcement: Property Tax Update
The City of Augusta has officially completed the 2026 citywide revaluation.
The 2026-2027 tax rate has been set at $14.23 per $1,000 of assessed value, a decrease from $24.40 last year.
While the tax rate has decreased, your individual property tax bill may be higher or lower depending on how your property's assessed value changed relative to the rest of the city.
Tax bills are currently in the process of being committed. At this time, we do not yet have individual tax bill amounts available, so City staff are unable to answer questions about specific tax bills until that process is complete.
We will share another update as soon as tax bills have been committed and additional information is available.
