Administrative Assistant (PT) - Finance Department

Requirements: Associate’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years experience in administrative or clerical work. Considerable experience in secretarial and bookkeeping work of a progressively responsible nature involving contact with the public preferred. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a Regular Part-Time (20 hours per week), non-exempt hourly position. The FY26 pay range for Teamsters General Government Range 14 is $24.74 to $34.95 per hour, with an annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) and the potential for merit-based step increases. Starting pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and budget availability. This position requires mandatory participation in MainePERS Plan AC (a defined benefit retirement plan); employees in this role do not contribute to Social Security. In addition to retirement benefits, this position earns paid vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays per year. Please note: As a part-time position, this role is not eligible for health, dental, vision, or other insurance benefits.
