The forecast for this weekend includes much colder-than-normal conditions. An arctic front arriving Friday night will bring bitterly cold temperatures, with strong winds causing dangerously low wind chills. Conditions are expected to worsen on Saturday and Sunday, temperatures are expected to remain in the low single digits, with wind chills often at or below zero. The City of Augusta urges residents to take precautions during this period of extreme cold.
