City of Augusta Creates PSA to Raise Awareness about Ticks
PSA educates residents and visitors about how to safely enjoy the outdoors
As outdoor recreation increases, the City of Augusta is working to raise awareness about the increase in ticks this spring. The city produced a series of video and audio public service announcements (PSAs) to share tips for how to avoid ticks and what to do if you find one on your clothing or on your body. The PSAs feature Augusta's Recreation Director Bruce Chase sharing information about the increase in ticks in Maine and how to safely enjoy the outdoors. The video and audio PSAs will air on local TV and radio stations and be featured on the city's social media accounts.
