The Special Municipal Referendum Election will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
QUESTION #1 Do you favor borrowing money as authorized by City Council Order No. 22 –015 to provide an amount not to exceed $4,455,000 to pay costs of capital expenditures for the acquisition of a fire apparatus and the reconstruction, renovation, repair and improvement of City streets, sidewalks and related facilities throughout the City?
Augusta Voters will vote at the following locations based on residence address:
Ward 1 – Buker Community Center – 22 Armory Street
Ward 2 – Augusta City Center – 16 Cony Street
Ward 3 – Augusta Civic Center – 76 Community Drive
Ward 4 – Cony High School – 40 Pierce Drive
Polls will be open from 7:00AM – 8:00PM
Absentee Voting begins on Friday, February 18, 2022
Absentee Voting ends on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 6:30PM.
City Hall will remain open after normal operating hours on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 & Thursday, March 17, 2022 until 6:30PM for voter registration and absentee voting.
Absentee Ballots may be requested by:
- The voter by telephone by calling 626-2310
- Written request to City Clerk, 16 Cony Street, Augusta
- Visiting the City Clerk’s office in-person during regular business hours
- Online at http://www.maine.gov/cgi-bin/online/AbsenteeBallot/index.pl
All absentee ballots must be received by 8:00PM on Election Day for your ballot to count. If dropping off Absentee ballots on Election Day they may be delivered to The Augusta City Center, First Floor, Learning Gallery from 7:00AM - 8:00PM or voters may use the outside drop box at City Center until 8:00PM.
