Augusta Dog Park Guidelines

The Augusta Dog Park was built by The Rotary Club of Augusta and members of the community as a gift to the city, its dog owners, and their dogs. In August 2009, the Augusta City Council approved the location of an off-leash dog park at Mill Park, and in September 2010 the Park opened to become one of more than 700 off-leash recreation areas in the country

The Dog Park is located at Mill Park, on the north end of Water Street, Augusta, Maine. A public street, Canal Street, just up the hill from Augusta Fuel Company is the easiest way to access the Park. There is ample, free public parking.

The park is open from dawn to dusk daily.

The purpose of this Augusta Dog Park User's Guide is to ensure that visits to the dog park are safe and enjoyable for dogs, their owners, and other community members. The guide provides important information for all users, and should be reviewed before using the park for the first time and occasionally thereafter.
