Planning Bureau

PLANNING
The Planning Bureau provides professional land-use and strategic planning services to Augusta residents, taxpayers, City Council, City Staff and the Planning Board. These services create physical changes in the built environment that reflect Augusta's aspirations and economic capacity to the largest degree possible.

The Planning Bureau coordinates the City's efforts to manage Augusta's growth through long-range planning and regulation of land development. Planning staff process rezoning, conditional use, subdivision, major and minor development and special exception use applications.  Planning staff review applications and provide the Planning Board with analysis.
