The purpose of the Bureau of Engineering is to provide engineering services for the benefit of the residents and business owners in the City of Augusta. It is our mission of the bureau to help facilitate the upgrades of an aging infrastructure while also assisting with the development and construction of new infrastructure.
Goals and Objectives
- Continue to meet with the Department of Transportation regarding road and other transportation projects in the City of Augusta.
- Coordinate the design and construction of City projects with the stakeholders such as utility companies, residents, environmental agencies and others.
- Incorporate "complete streets" into any street design process and collaborate with Planning and Public Works and review with the City Manager.
- Continue to review new development to insure that the City of Augusta technical standards are being met.
