COVID EXPECTATIONS:
- We ask that players stay home if anyone in their household is experiencing any symptoms of illness or COVID 19 related symptoms.
- Instructors will be disinfecting equipment before and after each session and in between contact.
- Instructors will be prompting children to wash/sanitize their hands periodically.
- Please bring a mask for your child for down times or times when they are not actively participating the sport.
- Unnecessary physical contact such as high fives and fist bumps are discouraged.
- Water bottles should have players first and last name clearly marked on the bottle.
- Programs are subject to change at any time due to the COVID-19 pandemic

The City of Augusta Recreation Bureau in association with the Augusta Conservation Commission is pleased to offer a wonderful opportunity for all to enjoy the great outdoors.

Great opportunity for individuals to get outside to enjoy all that Augusta has to offer.
Some of the places Augusta has to offer include Bond Brook Park, Bicentennial Nature Park, Augusta Nature Center, East Side Greenway, and Viles Arboretum. Get out and enjoy the outdoors.
Please don't forget to come prepared for each hike, wear comfortable shoes, dress weather appropriate, bring bug spray, and water

 John Bridges Basketball Courts

On the Piggery Road in Augusta, there are two outdoor Basketball courts, these courts are available for public use. The Recreation Bureau wants to call attention to the courts, because we want our residents to take advantage of all the great outdoor facilities the City of Augusta has to offer. For those of you that do not know where the Piggery Road is in Augusta, here are directions starting from the Buker Community Center, from Armory Street one would turn right onto Western Ave traveling 0.8 miles until you reach the roundabout then take the 2nd exit onto US-202 traveling for 0.7 miles, turn slightly right onto Stone Street travel for 1.1 miles, the Piggery Rd will be on your left and the Courts are located on the left behind the Horseshoe pits.


 Birthday Parties 

The Buker Community Center is the PERFECT place to host a birthday Party!! Keep your house clean while letting the kids run around and play. You can rent the Buker Community Center Gym for 2 hours (or more) for a low hourly rate. If the gym is more than what you are looking for, we have a large meeting room that easily converts into a great space for smaller birthdays! The large room can accommodate up to 60 guests. To book your birthday party, please visit our new online system, MyRec and submit your rental request. If you have questions, please call the Buker Community Center at 626-2350.
